About NYT Games Hints
We help you solve today's puzzles without spoiling the fun.
Why We Built This
Millions of people play the New York Times daily puzzle games — Wordle, Connections, Strands, and more. And every day, millions of people search Google for "wordle hint today" or "connections hint" hoping for a gentle nudge.
The problem? Most hint sites spoil the answer immediately. You land on the page looking for a small clue and — boom — the answer is right there, ruining the satisfaction of solving it yourself.
We built NYT Games Hints to fix that. Our progressive hint system gives you control: start with a gentle directional nudge, get more specific if you need it, and only reveal the full answer when you're ready. No accidental spoilers. No ruined streaks.
How Our Progressive Hint System Works
Each of the 7 games we cover has up to four expandable sections:
- Level 1 — Gentle Hint: A soft directional nudge. For Wordle, this might be the word's part of speech or vowel count. For Connections, it's the general theme direction without naming categories.
- Level 2 — Directional Hint: More specific clues. First letter, number of syllables, category names without the words.
- Level 3 — Near-Spoiler: Almost the full answer. Reveal this if you're truly stuck and just need the final push.
- Answer: The complete solution, always hidden behind a clear spoiler warning. You have to intentionally click to reveal it.
